What is High-End Retouching?

High-end retouching involves using specific and unique techniques tailored to each image. We never utilize cheap filters or commercial presets ensuring natural and professional-looking images that stand out from mass-retouched imagery. Each image is given individual attention and completed from start to finish by a highly trained human.

What are your rates?

Every job is unique and requires a personalized approach. When providing estimates, we take into consideration various factors such as image usage, file size, the amount of cleaning required, the need for image selects and color correction, the number of images, and the requested turnaround time. While we can provide a basic rate card, please note that the estimate will be subject to change after we discuss the specifics of your project.

Can you retouch on set?

While we are always happy to discuss on-set retouching, scheduling and location constraints may limit our ability to do so. To ensure the best possible service for our clients requiring on-site support, we recommend scheduling a Dedicated Retouching Day.

What is a Dedicated Retouching Day?

During a Dedicated Retouching Day, a specialized retoucher will be assigned to your photoshoot and will be on-call throughout the day to fulfill all of your retouching needs. By sharing files through a remote folder, we can transfer images quickly and efficiently, without the need for a hard drive pass off. This allows us to work with you as if we were on set, while also saving you money on travel costs.

With your retoucher available to communicate by phone at any time, we can create mock-ups or complete images as they are shot, tailored to your specific needs. This personalized approach ensures that your images are retouched to the highest quality, while also saving you time and money. Contact us to learn more about our Dedicated Retouching Day option.

What is the average turnaround time for a job?

This is dependent on the size and asks for the job, however we like to reserve at least 5 days for any project. This gives us time to work with all our clients in a timely manner. However it is common that quick turnarounds are needed, whether that is 1 hour or 1 day and we can always meet those needs when necessary.

Do you take credit cards?

We prefer check or direct deposit. If you would like to pay with a card or using an outside company like paypal or venmo there is a fee included in those services.

How may I request a quote for my project?

You may request a quote by filling out the Project Inquiry Form on our contact page. Please include as much information as you have available, and if more is required, we will be in touch to schedule a free discovery call.

Are you available to discuss my project?

Absolutely, we believe in the power of conversation. Feel free to email us and request to schedule a discovery call at any time. While some jobs are simple and an email is sufficient to get started, other jobs may require a series of conversations to properly communicate goals and requirements for your project.

Do you prefer JPGs, Tiffs or Raw?

For the best results, we recommend sending us Raw Files. However, if you prefer to handle your own color adjustments, we can still process your files with your preferred color and take care of the retouching. Sending us Raw files ensures that we have access to the highest quality image data, which allows us to provide the best possible final product. Although we can work with JPGs and Tiffs, Raw files are preferred and will yield the best results.
